Privacy policy

What stays on your device
Calculator inputs, saved jobs, settings (company name, technician name, licence and registration numbers, logo), commissioning sheets, certificates, test sheets, photos and signatures are stored only in the app's storage on your device. They are never sent to us or to anyone else unless you choose to share them, for example by sending a PDF or a summary from your phone.
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its storage, deletes this data permanently. We cannot recover it for you.
What we receive
We only receive information when you use Send feedback. That opens your own email app with a message you can read and edit before sending. It can include:
- what you type: summary, description, what you expected and steps
- the part of the app and the values entered in that calculator at the time, if you leave that option ticked (never client, job or form details)
- the app version, screen size, browser and language, if you leave that option ticked
- your email address, because the email comes from your own account
We use feedback only to fix problems and improve DeltaCalc, and to reply to you if you said that's OK. We keep feedback emails while they're useful for that and delete them on request.
Other services
- Hosting: the app's files are delivered by our web host, which, like any website, processes your IP address to send them.
- Google Play: if you installed from Google Play, Google's own privacy policy covers the store and app updates.
We don't sell or share personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Children
DeltaCalc is a professional tool for HVAC/R technicians and isn't directed at children.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, which is only feedback emails you've sent. Email us and we'll respond within 20 working days.
